Mari

My daughter is 11 and has always been sensory defensive and "ADHD"... I was just given the RAD diagnosis by our therapist. I have always known that it was something else. Whatever I did or didn't do.... did not make a difference. .. Have lived many years with parental guilt trying to fix the "problem" . Of course, I have been targeted as the problem. My daughter had the cord around her neck and was anoxic at birth. Occupational therapy since 4 years old. After reading information for 2 days on the net I see a bit clearer.. how my behavior has contributed. Always felt she was trying to kill me.. ramming into me like a little goat. Breast fed her until she was 2 1/2. Told she had dairy sensitivity to milk protein..made her agressive... Bit others from 9mos until 2 1/2... May be I had depression post partum.. She was conceived at the end of a 7 year marriage ...I had been sober 10 years at that time. I know my parenting skills have something to do with the syndrome... At least I know there is help now. I HAVE FELT SO ALONE.
