Four years ago, I adopted a 6-year-old daughter who was severely abused and neglected. She was already in our home when we realized the extend of her damage. My life has been hell since she arrived. To make matters worse, my husband walked out on us in Sept '00. Noelle has been diagnosed with RAD, ADD/HD, learning disorders and post-traumatic syndrome. I am currently awaiting her acceptance into the Grandfather Home for Children in Banner Elk, NC. I am barely hanging on and fear for my own physical and mental safety.
