My reply got lost last night, I think. Hope you are feeling better and get some clearance today. Mal-debarkment? That is so crazy! As in, your body still feels like its on a ship? How does that happen? beats me. I'm supposed to see a PT in Cape Girardeau with a specialty. But I need to get better from this first. My stomach is really hurting when I eat, though they have something that helps a bit. No pain meds allowed as they are hard on your stomache. Then I have to give some blood free stool samples to be released from hostage.... I mean the hospital. Now there's a conundrum. I must have done something really terrible in my youth or childhood. Look what Maria got for being a bad nun.

Loopy doesn't begin to explain it. I made some very strange phone calls under the influence. Pain killers got taken off the list as they are hard on the stomach, but thet have tried to come up with alternatives. Today was the first day I wasn't really hurting too bad. They gave me a potassium, which I didn't really need evidently and that has caused some irritation.
This morning my doc offered me the option to stay on liquids today and get a colonoscopy tomorrow or begin to eat soft food and do a three day liquid fast later and get it. Even I can do that math. Keep praying folks. They just showed up with my gallon sized cocktail.

Mercy! I think I would tell them I want clear liquids today and enemas this evening rather than the gallon cocktail.
I hope they find the problem and fix it quickly and all is well.

Thanks for the good wishes and prayers. I made it home yesterday. I am very blessed to have a young family member (by choice) take her days off this week to drive 4 hours to stay with me. I don't know how I would have made it otherwise. Dh has helped, but is also working. She has spent every minute looking out for me. I'll have her help until Thursday. I am having home health nurses and therapy for awhile as I cannot drive. I have other friends who are pitching in to get me to appts. and stay with me. Not sure I'll have that level of help much longer, but am trusting I'll be ready. It has been a golden lining to have the love and support of so many family and friends.
One problem I'm having is intermittent, very low blood pressure, which is putting me at a risk for falling. Dh got me a walker at the suggestion of the therapist. I will say that I seem to be improving from both yesterday and this morning. Both my stomach pain and sciatica seem better tonight. For now I am staying downstairs. We put a bed in the family room. Just no point in taking unnecessary risks.
Will keep you posted as I can. Thanks again for being so supportive my friends.

My husband also suffers from intermittent low blood pressure, among other things. He stumbles a lot when he first stands. So, use your walker, take your time, sit on the edge of your bed or chair until you don't feel dizzy, etc...I'm sure they told you all those things. It's just scary when my husband stands because he won't listen to all those instructions!
Praying for your health.
