Hoping they let you go. I'm sure dd will feel better having you there as well. Hang in there blessings. May be hard knowing more, but you are a better advocate for dd because of it.

Blessings, I don't understand. She is your dd. How can they stop you from going? Is it because she is in RTC that she is now a ward of the state? You adopted her. If you have no rights as a mother, why do they demand so much of you? Praying things go well.

I do understand that Blessings. I tend to be the same way. Even if I TELL you that you shouldn't worry. I would.
As far as the nurse thing and knowledge goes, I understand that too. (Besides having a BA in psych, I also have an Associates in vet tech!) Knowing "possibilities" can make your mind race. BUT also keep in mind what you TELL your patients...it isn't always something bad!!! (I didn't have to tell my patients, but I did have to tell their owners/caregivers which was just as bad!) Sometimes knowing keeps the bad from happening. I know you know all this, but in my case it doesn't hurt to be reminded.
I'll be with you in thoughts and prayers. What time? I'd like to set my alarm.

neitlingme, the appointment is at 1. I will definitely post when I get back.
Also talked to sweetpea20 last night and she is going to call her OB and get a baseline EKG. As she and DD are siblings, if there is any chance of anything being wrong, I want her checked out.
And momof3, DD was made a ward of the state when she got involved with the court system. My parental rights haven't been terminated, but in reality, it doesn't matter. I have no rights. I am asked my opinion, but that is the end of it.
As for accompanying DD to doctor's appointments, at least her house teachers keep me informed. DS's house teachers never let me know what was going on. I would only find out after the fact when I would get the insurance notice.
Now that I have gotten permission to go to this appointment, I am sure that I will be allowed to go to the rest of them. The RTC does realize that I care and that I am only supportive of their treatment plan, even when I don't agree.
Thanks all for your support. It means so much.

Inspite of how much you missed going on your trip this could very well be the reason you are in town ... hopefully this made a difference for you and your daughter.

Bizzzie, Great minds think alike. As bummed as I was not to be able to get out of town, I am so very thankful that I was in town to go to the Children's Hospital with DD. She was scared and needing some mama time. We were able to hang out a little, and that was great. And I would have been going out of my mind today if I was 650 miles away and not in town to go with. And kudos to her house teacher. Big time. House teacher told her that she was glad that I came because she is a great house teacher but not the mama, and that DD needed her mama. As we walked out and I was talking to DD, the house teacher told DD "I wish I could get you to see how lucky you are. After everything that has happened, your mom loves you very much and is still here for you." I could have hugged the stuffing out of her! and neitlingme, thank you so much for your prayers. This board is such a life line to me. I gain so much strength from all of you. Thank you. blessings

Blessings - Hoping for good results. What a great example of "all things working together for good". Don't you love it when you see staff that gets it and helps point our kiddos toward the family? So glad you had this time with your dd. Who knows, maybe this will be something that helps turn her around. You are such a good mom!

clbmom,
Won't know anything until Monday. The test was late enough Friday afternoon that I knew that there was no way that the results would get read, transcribed, and then faxed to DD's doctor.
And even then, I am not sure when I will hear. The RTC house teachers will get called and told the results, not me. So depending on when they get the call and what is going on in the house, I may not hear until late Monday when they have time to call.
I will definitely keep you posted.

No news. I hate it when people tell me when something will be done and then it doesn't happen.
It just drives me bonkers.
Another day of waiting.
Deep sigh.
