If you noticed my absence it's due to a stay at the hospital. I'm not up to filling in all the details now. Been here since Sunday with severe gastric pain due to a mess up with meds. Dh was out of town and I was either loopy or sleeping all the time. Managed to pas a out coming back from the bathroom where i "slept" for a couple of hours. Got a shiner and banged up knee for that stunt. No concussion or broken knee, though their is still some pain. My stomach started hurting pretty bad Sunday and a friend came over. Had her give me Nexium. When I took a sip of water with it the pain went through the roof.
She called an ambulance and here I am. Have had a ton of X-rays CTs blood, urine, etc. I can't walk alone because of the pain in my leg and dizziness. (Probably due to low blood pressure due to to meds...). Also was severely dehydrated Have had loads of iVs so much better ther. My stomach was hurting pretty bad yesterday and they looked at my blood and noticed it had been dropping steadily. Gave me blood and did a GI. Yep! A bleeding ulcer. Any one thinking CF yet? Got it cauterized this morning.
Need leg pain improved so I can walk. Had two nurses suggest rehab before going home. Right now I need stomach pain help so I can "eat" my liquid dinner and not get dehydrated again. Craziest situation I've been in! Miss you all and don't know if I will have wi-fi if I go to rehab. But for now I'm here.

Glad to hear from you.
I had wondered why I hadn't seen much from you.
Praying for a steady recovery.
Guess you knew they'd find a bleeding ulcer.....how we all don't have one is amazing.

Thanks for the prayers and good wishes. Feeling a bit better today. This all started with sciatica and snowballed. So true, Cher. We've earned them. Mine came from bad reaction to meds and home alone for a day and a half. I am sure your prayers will help a lot.
Look forward to getting back in touch. Mostly reading for now.

Just saw DR. He says if stool is clear of.blood and I sit up more and begin walking more, with no further issues can go home Monday. Have some elevated white count. My leg keeps giving me intermittent pain which makes it hard to walk. I had also gone to a physician several weeks ago and was diagnosed with maldebarkment. It's ok, my gp even never heard of it. It's the biggest souvenir of my cruise. Two months and counting of sea legs. Ugh he wants me on physical therapy for that.
Anyhow seems there is some light at the end of the tunnel. Thanks for the prayers, they must be helping.

My reply got lost last night, I think. Hope you are feeling better and get some clearance today. Mal-debarkment? That is so crazy! As in, your body still feels like its on a ship? How does that happen?
