Prayer for a friend

A lady at our church, J, just lost her daughter. I used to babysit her kids when I was a teen, so the daughter would be about late 40's, early 50's. Daughter was adopted as an infant. Looking back over the years she probably had attachment issues. I don't think it was well known then, she was just the girl that made people think twice about adopting. Although it could have been mental disorders from bio-parents.
She was smart. She was an RN who was on a heart transplant team, early in her career. She got into drugs and lost everything. For several years she's been trying to get clean and get a job. I'd always had an uneasy feeling around her the last 10 years. I think it was my RADar going off. The fake smiles and small talk seemed so phony, but I was probably just as phony back.
I haven't had a chance to visit with J. She has friends who are closer and probably know better what to do. I do know to pray for her peace. Pray for understanding friends and acquaintances, pray for J's granddaughter, pray for J's other children and their children.
