DS has violated parole.  He is going back to court today.  He is facing the original charges, felony assault of a police officer.

He may be going to prison for the original charge.

It's all so heartbreaking...

I am sorry for the sad news. It is so hard to not have hope and so crushing when they fail again.

Praying that Hope is correct.

Blessings,

Praying for you and your son. I know God is still in control of your life and your sons. I hope this will reach him and he can turn his path around.

The case was continued.

I don't know until when.

DS melted down on fb today, and is blaming others for his current situation.

It's amazing how many of his fb friends sympathize with him.  He assaulted a police officer.

I am praying that he opens his heart to the possibility of change.

Though I hold little hope for that.  He is a deeply deeply disturbed young man.

Blessings,

At this point all you can do is pray. I am certain you instilled many excellent values in your son and I expect as his circumstances worsen and his so called friends trickle away he will return to your teachings. Of course, he may never say so, but he will find ways to use what he has learned. The school of hard knocks awakens most of our kids over time. Eventually others get tired of helping and see what we see in our kids.

Just keep praying, as will I, and know God never gives up on your son, or any of us, no matter how much we screw up.  His love is perfect, ours is a very poor reflection of what we will get when we see Jesus in heaven.

hang in there,

Sherrie

Praying from here as well, Blessings.  As hard as it is, and there are days I'm holding on with fingernails, God does have a plan for him.  He's the master quilter and right now, all any of us see are the scraps that we are trying to sew together.  Praying that He gives you a glimpse of His design, peace for your soul, and draws you close to His heart.  Praying for your son, that he is surrounded by God's presence and that he'll soften his heart as he goes through this very hard life lesson.  Hang in there, Blessings.

Thank you all.

I am doing better today.

I get terrified because the little boy I raised does not fit in my mind as the young man facing these consequences.  My son has told me that that little boy doesn't exist any more.

I know that God can still heal, I also know that my son has seared his conscience and that God will enter when invited, but that my son has to want a relationship.

My son is a depraved, violent, addicted man.  Society would be safer with him away in prison.

I will never stop praying for him.  I will also never stop protecting myself from him.

As I have said before, I am willing to make sacrifices for my children. I am not willing to be the sacrifice.

Blessings, what do you think happened to that little boy you knew?  Rescue daddy told me that boy I knew didn't exist anymore.  I find it hard to believe.
